This a Grasshopper made by Rebecca Kanar of ABC Balloon Twisting. I really like her creative use of an Alien head. This is one I'm going to have to figure out. :)

Very realistic. that would look great as an alien creature if made in purple with silver legs for instance.
Nope, for the beginning it´s good to read books and watch DVDs, and after a time, you can see with one view how a figure is made, and with tihs you also start to design your one figures.

Thanks, my daughter gave me the idea to use the alien head to make a grasshopper. I used online grasshopper photos as a reference (while I was on a balloon twister chat site). Happy Twisting! ;>)- Rebecca Kanar
Is there ANY way I could get direction for how to make this guy? He is SO awsome1 I am trying to learn to make all different sorts of bugs for a talent show, and the grasshopper is on the top of my list. If there is absolutly any way I could get how exactly you did this, I would be eternally greatful! I am going to try to figure him out just by looking at the pictures, but That may not come out right.......
