One Balloon Monkey

Dear Mr Balloon Man,
Thank you for your instructional video. The girl I nanny for and I have spent the past 30 mins trying to make this balloon monkey. We succeeded (sort of) and made a mutant monkey. It has no room for a nose and a tumor on its ear. Maybe next time you could go a LITTLE slower for people like me who are not skilled in the process of making a balloon monkey. Nevertheless, we had a good laugh so thank you Mr Balloon Man.
Sincerely,
2 Girls in Florida

I didn't think it was too fast...but I enjoy the pause button! I failed, but I assume the second time will be better.

I shall try to slow down in future videos.

Just trying to save download time.

At the end, my monkey looked rather odd...its nose was twice as big as its head and it had not hands...On my first try, with the pinch twist it popped. But this is a really neat tutorial, and it worked!

Hi Michael!
I decided yesterday I was going to master balloonery! I'm having a blast learning from your site, the videos are really the best way to teach! So far I've got the dog, rabbit, cat, giraffe and the sword down pat, can't wait to do them all!
Love your work
Tricia.

I don't think the video was too fast; maybe people need to learn the balloon terms before trying the vids

Balloon-Man...I love you. I've been searching for a decent instruction site for a long time. I'm a very visual person, and FINALLY I understand how to make a monkey.

Thank you!

Thank you for great instructions! I have trouble making the pinch twist. Either the balloon blows up or the air in the pinch twist part goes into the other bubbles??? How is it done properly?

Wow, I love your videos!! I had a hard time with the monkey, but after trying most of the other animals, the monkey came easier, and I love it!! For anyone having trouble, I suggest trying other animals because in each video, Michael says something different (as far as little tips), and by watching them all, you can more easily integrate the information so that it's more understandable. Plus, practicing a lot makes anything easier. (^_^)

Thanks for the great videos. Learning for my 6 yr old nieces bday party. Your speed is just right. I did come up with a little variaton that the kids found funny - I made the monkey out of black or brown and added 2 half inch pinch twists and tied it above the tail to make a baboons butt. Anyway thanks for taking the time to make the videos.

hello mr. balloon man.. your instructional vids are cool. i tried making this monkey. i totally understood how to do it, but on my first attempt, my balloon popped. i tried it again but i was too scared that it will pop again. i can't get the 2 pinch twist together, it's like their going to explode. i'll try it again in the morning. thanks for sharing your balloon knowledge.

Michael I love your work. For some reason, I decide to try to make balloon art today, so I typed in balloon animals, found your site, and now I have a new hobby. Thank you for all the help.

This monkey is so awesome. But how in the world do you blow the balloons up with your mouth so easily? You make it seem so simple.

I like the video, but the part where you make the head went a little too fast. i had to replay it like 6 times before i got it [:

You went WAY TOO FAST on making the head. If you have the time to accept a phone call from your girlfriend on another video, you have the time to slow down or redo this video. I realy love that you are posting these videos but please give us begginers a break! We don't have the pleasure of learning in person. ;)
Please take a all our requests seriously.

I think your speed is fine! Perfect even!

People just need to remember it is a video, it can be watched as many times as they want, turned up as loud as they want and paused at any time.

Once people know the terminology it is easy to follow the video!

Fantastic site! I am going to try to make balloon animals for a charity event we are hosting at an animal shelter. I have learned more from your site than from any book out there. Love the detail that you put in them that makes the animals more fun.

I use the pause button and rewind so the speed is fine with me.

Thanks again!

Dave
