Yesterday I went to a balloon Jam in the beautiful city of Montclair. It was hosted by
Tisza Major aka "Ellie" of Ellie The Clown. I was able to meet
Don Caldwell and
Ken Stillman. I had a great time and I am looking forward to the next Jam, which is scheduled for December 11
th. Tisza was nice enough to take
photos the balloon jam. I made a puppet and a monkey.
I was able to try out some free samples of Betallatex, the sponsor of the evening. I liked that they don’t squeak while twisting them. They are also very strong balloons with solid colors. My hands did feel a bit dry after twisting with them. I think they cut down the squeaking by using more talcum powder.

Thank you for telling me about your site. I have to tell you that you're very bad though. Instead of grading papers, I am now trying to follow some of your balloon animal directions, especially monkey on a palm tree.
Thanks,
Gayle (smile)
I just checked out those pics from the jam.
That's a mighty cool little Darth Vader sir.
The Force is strong with this one.
Hey Mike,
Just wanted to say thanks! I get a kick out of your site. I just started twisting balloons because it sounded like a fun project for my english class. I have so many animals lying around now that I don't know what to do with them. Thanks and keep up the great work!
